Wow, how lovely. I have seen these in butterfly houses and I love how they just float through the air. It must be amazing to see them in the wild. Great pictures.

Nick, you would not believe how many of these there are in Taiwan. It was just incredible. They are so huge and lovely. I found myself just watching them, and forgetting to take photos at all, because they were so amazing. At one point I counted 18 Tree Nymphs in my immediate sight, out on a trail in the National Park, with no one around at all. My husband found this little back area while he was hiking that he named Butterfly Alley. I spent 3 days there, in butterfly heaven.

That sounds so nice! Sometimes it is best just to put the camera down and enjoy the experience! On the other hand I always want to have some pictures to remind me of the butterflies I have seen.

I’m afraid there is no way I’m putting the camera down until I know I have a halfway decent shot! Because truly, half of the fun is looking at them larger on the computer and IDing them. Plus keeping track of what I saw when and where. But once I’ve got a decent shot, I really do like to just watch…

Oh, me too! And we are having internet problems again, so I’ve not even been able to post either! I’m so behind in commenting and catching up with people’s blogs. I hope we have good interenet for a stretch.
