It’s so nice to see the Goatweed butterfly. As residence of Miami and Gainesville (U of F) we were avid collectors of those residing in Florida. In 1965, my Dad and I caught a few Florida Leafwing butterflies (3 in my current collection). It is unfortunate that this once plentiful beauty is endangered. Perhaps you can be of some help. My 5 children and I want to add some Goatweeds. Our stock was invaded by mites. The kids are crestfallen. I there a possibility that you can supply us a few. We will be more than happy to make payment.

Our very best: David, Sofie, twins Emily and Audrey and Beth–my self Jay. We are the Gmereks.

Im sorry, I am not currently anywhere near their habitat. And I’ve never actually caught one. so even if I was in Texas, I wouldn’t know how to begin to fulfill your request. I just photograph them. My collection is just a photographic one. Good luck to you though, in maintaining your collection. It’s an art that has definitely declined in popularity, so I can see why you might find it difficult.
